Rolling Stone and Variety have announced the addition of the “Political Groundbreakers Roundtable” to the 2025 Truth Seekers Summit presented by Paramount+, taking place on August 14 in NYC. This timely conversation will bring together some of today’s most respected political journalists for an inside look at the evolving landscape of political reporting.
Moderated by Brian Steinberg, Senior TV Editor at Variety, the roundtable will feature a dynamic lineup of reporters on the frontlines of national politics: Yamiche Alcindor (White House Correspondent, NBC News), Zeke Miller (Deputy Washington Bureau Chief, The Associated Press), and Alex Thompson (National Political Correspondent, Axios), who also co-authored the #1 New York Times bestseller “Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-up, and His Disastrous Decision to Run Again.”
In an increasingly fractured media landscape, the panel will examine how top-tier journalists break through the noise to connect with audiences, navigate misinformation, and maintain trust while covering complex, high-stakes stories. From investigative strategies to balancing urgency and accuracy in real time, the conversation will spotlight the vital role political reporters play in shaping public understanding.
The “Political Groundbreakers Roundtable” expands the Truth Seekers Summit’s mission of celebrating courageous journalism and elevating bold, honest storytelling across media. Panelists join previously announced speakers including Jake Tapper, Amy Schumer, Amber Ruffin, Roy Wood Jr. and Ronny Chieng.
Conversations from the event will be posted on variety.com and rollingstone.com.
