PENDER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) -The Pender County Board of Elections has extended the candidate filing period for three races in the 2025 Municipal Election.
According to a post on the Pender County Board of Elections Facebook page, the board passed a resolution to extend the candidate filing period for the following races:
- Town of Atkinson Mayor
- Town of Atkinson Commissioner (Unexpired)
- Town of Watha Commissioner
Filing will now be from Monday, July 28, at 8 a.m. to Friday, August 1, at noon for the three races.
The filing fee for each race is $6 and must be paid via check, money order, or cash.
